Sister Sannie M. Wright

Sister Sannie M. Wright is a current resident of Orangeburg SC. She was married to the Late Brother Leon Wright; they are the parents of three loving children: Corey (Paula), Travis, and April (James Jenkins, II); with three grandchildren: James, III, Allison and Christian Jenkins.

Sister Wright has been employed at WL Bonner College, Columbia SC as Director of Enrollment Management/Registrar since 2007. Also in 2007, after 28 years of service, she retired from SC State University (SCSU), Orangeburg SC, as Assistant Registrar. She received a BS Degree in Business and a Masters of Education Degree in Counseling, both from SCSU; and received a Certificate of Christian Ministries – Women’s Ministries from WL Bonner College. 

Sister Wright received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1976. She is a Charter Member of Beulah Refuge Tabernacle, Orangeburg SC, where Bishop David A. Smith is Pastor and SC Upstate Diocesan.  She is Church Executive Secretary, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. A Senior Missionary, she has been serving as church Missionary President since 2013, but has worked with this Department for over 28 years. She also serves as SC Upstate Diocese Administrative Secretary, and Secretary for Region 8, COOLJC.

Sister Wright, a Lifetime member of the IWC, has worked with the Women’s Council for over 26 years: first in her local church (as Vice President 2007 - present); and also on the state level for 15 years; and as SC Upstate Diocese President (1993–2007); currently as advisor.

Sister Wright is currently serving as Vice President of Evangelism; and has served as Vice President of Home Mission from 2011 – 2017, and 1st Vice President from 2014-2017. In 2015, she was inducted into the IWC Doris Ray Hall of Fame, receiving also a President Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Service Award. She believes that leadership means service. Her earnest desire is to be a servant of the Lord and live pleasing in His sight.
